Companies rise and fall on leadership.  You cannot run an organization on talent or knowledge alone.  You must be able to lead people to your product and show them the value in your organization and more significantly, you.  People will buy into you before they buy what you are selling!  Many people confuse leadership with authority and power.  Authority does not make you a leader, however with true leadership comes authority.

What is leadership?

John Maxwell says it best, “Leadership is influence, nothing more nothing less.” 

Whatever it is you are selling; without leadership at the forefront of what you do, you will not be successful.  Everything we do in life is about relationship.  Whether you are selling a product or a service people want to know that they can trust you.  Employees will not follow you without influence.  They may work for you but they will never follow you without true leadership.  

Surround yourself with people that have the same vision as you.  Part of leadership is sharing who you are with those that want to follow you!  Show them your heartbeat, lead with passion and watch your circle of influence grow! 

Three things that every great leader must do!

LOVE

Love what you do and the people you surround yourself with! 

SERVE

Serve those in and out of your circle of influence!  Teach them to do the same! 

Do something for someone who can’t give anything in return.

CARE

Care about those who come into your life!  They are there for a specific reason!
